As technology becomes more and more advanced, bows become faster and faster. Is faster better? It doesn’t hurt. Does speed kill? No. It does make life a little easier though in that it’s all about trajectory. Two main factors dictate the flight of your arrow in this equation. First, I think we can agree that in general that the faster your arrow leaves your bow, the flatter its trajectory will be. Second is arrow weight, which will determine how much downrange kinetic energy and momentum you have. The beauty of archery is that it is all personal preference. I choose to shoot a fast bow and a relatively light arrow in my hunting setup.
