Years ago I saw the best bumper sticker in the world. It said, “Kids Who Hunt, Trap & Fish Don’t Mug Little Old Ladies.” While funny on the surface, this statement has a lot of truth in it. There is a deeper appreciation for the world around you when you are active in the outdoors. A sense of respect is learned for God’s creation and being a part of its proper management. Archery has a tendency to take that appreciation and respect to whole new levels due to the intimacy of the equipment used. Whether your interest leans toward bowhunting, target shooting in your backyard or at the range, competitive shooting or all of the above there is something about the flight of the arrow and being able to see your projectile in flight that is ultra-alluring to us as human beings and has been for literally thousands of years.
