Aloha,Planning on hunting elk in sept.don't know how heavy of arrow to use.currently shooting bowtech invasion @ 60lbs,28" draw and using goldtip xt 5575 29" arrow w/muzzy mx-3 100 gr. Is this enough to send a elk to his grave?

Yeah..that will work fine.. I'm guessing your a little over 400gr. total weight. you will pack plenty of punch behind that set-up. If I wasnt being so lazy I'd figure your KE..lol.. Biggest thing is to wait for a good broadside or slightly quartering away shot. Aim small miss small.

Very good advice right there! The biggest mistake a lot of new elk hunters make is to not pick a spot. Elk are pretty big and a hit to about 85% of there body will not equal success with any bow. Pick a spot!
