Hey - needs some help. We have been scouting our area for our hunt in Sept. Unfortunately - a fire came through and burned everything up. Looking for any information on whether the Antelope will return to this area or if we are out of luck. Any information would be helpful. Thanks
Tammy

we had a fire come through an area here in wyoming, and probably a week or so later, there were actually more antelope on the burned section then anywhere else

Depends on when it burned. If it burned a few months ago and the grass is starting to come up the hunting will be much better. That new groth grass in the burned areas, the antelope go nuts over. Thats what I have seen in Wyoming anyways.

Thats interesting. Ive wondered the same thing myself. I know for elk they love the new growth grass but never thought about antelope. Makes sense. Thanks for asking Tammyh

FYI - Antelope were back into the area within two weeks....no new growth and we were successfull in harvesting a nice buck at our usual whater hole. Thanks for everyone's comments.
