I hear there's a lot of mules around Cripple Creek, left over from the mining day's... not sure any of them are trophy's though???

Throw unit 21 into your thinking, some great bucks are coming out of that unit.

thanks That's a good spot. next to the utah trophy unit. I hunted the utah side but not the colorado side yet.

I'll take 70, but only the 4th rifle season. Rest of the seasons too many hunters. Great area just before/during the rut and only about 25 tags!! I'll be there this year if the same amount of pts that drew last year do the same this year.

unit 70 has some great deer. I've killed a few there. It really is a good spot. I wonder if 61 is worth the points. seems more like a elk unit

The nice thing about 70 is that it is only about 80 miles from home!!

Hunted unit 70 third season in 2009, had a great time, saw a LOT of deer and a LOT of hunters. We all killed good bucks but didn't see any toads. Mostly hunted the area between Basin and Monograhm.

Thats why I only hunt it 4th season, way fewer hunters and a few more big guys show up. Worth the wait every 4 to 5 years!
