I was looking at one of these for a mountain rifle due to the light weight and 280 ackley chambering, just curious if anyone had shot one or had any accuracy reviews. Thanks.

Look at the mountain ascent by Kimber. It can also be chambered in 280 AI

Both great guns. The last time I checked with Kimber there was a big time wait on a .280 AI though. If you find one at a shop and want one I think i would buy it as they don't seem to stay around long. I have the 8400wsm in 7wsm and really like it so far.

Some folks have had accuracy problems. Some have shot great.

The early ones do seem to have had some "consistency" problems, at least reading reviews. I haven't heard that as being a problem with later guns though.

Great to hear. I always thought the actions were sized just right.
