Good luck. I hope we don't have to plan a boating trip in Ca this year like we are in Nv!! Ahhahahahha

Yep, deer is posted on my end. The others are not up yet on my end. Just drew more points for me on deer. Looks like D7 for me this year.

Awesome draw Rob P. M-3 had only 20 tags for that 9 day hunt in November.

I just drew the local deer tags which are non-premium tags and got a bear and bobcat tag too. It's a bummer because I really dished out some bucks on the fundraiser Kelso sheep tag.......I wonder who drew it....res or non-res hunter, not that it matters. I'm really looking forward to southern Utah deer and Wy. antelope doe, and maybe buck. It's still going to be a busy season!

Congrats and good luck to all that drew their CA tags they wanted.

Nothing awesome for me other than points for all species minus deer so it will be G1, B zone and bear tag

I didn't put in this year. I'm going to just get a bear tag and maybe a D tag. I have alot of other hunts with my hunting partners that did draw in Nv including the wife so it will depend on the time frame.

Nothing for me. We'll do some A zone rifle come Aug and then back to D 3 or 5.

Max points for elk and I'll try again next year.

Saving my money this year to go back to Montana next year hopefully.

It was a great week!

I was at the the Matt Cane perfect game (experience of a lifetime) and pulled the A30 Covelo Buck tag!

First time on this hunt.....let the research begin!

That's was one Heck of an exciting game. I wish I would have been there but Vizio is the closest I got.

Are there any leftover tags that are worth taking a look at? I know they are not posted yet, I am curious of the usual archery units that make the list.

I'll have busy October. Drew the A24 tag late season monterey archery, heading to Nevada for mullys with BSA, and opening weekend of duck season. Also looking like its going to be a busy fire season here in CA, hope I can make it all.

Congrats, fire season always put a damper on early season hunting for me too when I did strictly wildland. You re usually in great shape though when it comes time:)

Thanks, was planning on a scouting trip for two weeks after the 4th but my dentist has other plans. In one year I went from no cavities to 5 cavities and 5 root canals (thanks to all the radiation two years ago but hey I'm alive, seems like a good trade to me). Told them they all had to be done by the start of September so I'll see what I feel like in a couple weeks and will try to at least get up there for a week or so of scouting. This mouth work will also put a delay on my move to NM again, was hoping to be there before hunting season but it looks like we may be moving in the middle of waterfowl season.

I have a couple places I would like to check on up in X9A. They are relatively short treks up the hill, about 5 miles in and between 8500 & 10,000 feet. We have taken Mulies in the mouth of one of the canyons I want to check out, but I have never been to the back where there's a alpine lake. I have another place in mind but have only seen it from Google earth & a spotting scope from a couple miles away. Both of these spots should be holding some nice bucks and far enough away from the roads to knock down 95% of the hunters.

Now if Wyoming is good to me in the morning regarding my Antelope draw I'll have one busy fall. I am one lucky man in so many ways.

Good hunting everyone, hunt hard but hunt safe
