How are the deer doing within the wilderness. I'm looking into packing in for an archery hunt?

Never been there before. Best thing to do us scout using google earth. Find some spots, and get there yourself.

It used to be good. Hunted there a few years ago. I can't speak for now. Call biologist and get some details. Ask specifics they will help you out. Good luck

Do many hunters hunt within the wilderness?

There can be a few but much less the out of the wilderness. Most of the area the guys with horses will be in there. It is a popular spot for horses. As long as your willing to hike in I think you will have a good hunt. I believe there are outfitters in there too.

The info I have found so for is pointing towards the east side of the wilderness. What elevation are the majority of the deer at? And is water a concern or will it be easy to find?

Hi,
Did you get into the wilderness for your bow hunt? I have a late season mule deer as well as an elk tag (dumb luck after 10 years of unsuccessful applications!). I am planning on going into the wilderness on foot and I'm looking for some feed back from anyone who has been there.
Thanks,
