Bivy food storage

While bivy hunting in Oregon should you hang your food away from camp each night?

I don't in Oregon but I do stash my mountain house garbage away frm camp to keep the little critters from deciding to investigate other items left with my tent. If in grizzly country I use bear canisters and they r required in some areas/parks.
