Debating a tikka t3 hunter, fluted, stainless.. or a Winchester m70, featherlite and blued, in .25-06?? The tikka is 6 pounds 3 ounces, and guarantees accuracy out of the box.. The winchester m70 is 7lbs but is tried and true.
Objective: medium/light game, fair weather, single day hunts.
Pointers?
Really a toss up IMHO, either one should work just fine for your objective. Pick the one that feels/fits the best or looks the best to you. Personally, I would take the Winchester because I prefer blued steel and walnut over stainless and plastic.

For me it's no contest. Winchester.
I like to have a nice mix of blued and walnut guns, as well as some synthetic guns, so I'd buy whichever I had fewer of.. As far as accuracy is concerned, you can't go wrong with either.
