Mine is the NE patriots. As long as the steelers and packers loose it is a great week in football. Can't wait to see Toms face with his 4th super bowl ring and 19-0 record. Go ahead, let the bashing and smack talking begin!!!!!!!!!

Idk what to expect out of my broncos, they made it to the second round of the playoffs with tebow, as long as mannin stays healthy this could be the best "TEAM" he's ever had

Close, but you got that backwards:
Mine is the steelers. As long as the NE patriots and packers loose it is a great week in football. Can't wait to see Ben's face with his 3rd super bowl ring and 19-0 record. Go ahead, let the bashing and smack talking begin!!!!!!!!!
That's better (at least you got the Packer thing right :D )

I am with kcaves, if Manning can stay healthy I like our odds! Go Broncos! Even if Manning can't stay healthy, I like the quarterback situation better than last year's side show. Luckily the circus has moved to New York. It's time for me to jump back on the broncos bandwagon after I jumped off and McDanials drove it off a cliff!!!!!!!!!!!

San Francisco 49ers!

Velvetfvr.....Brady is a better QB than Smith. No doubt. Not even close. 49ers will be heading to NE this year. We'll see how Brady does this year against last years best defense. If they are healthy, Brady will need to keep his head on a swivel.

I like Brady as a player but Montana never lost a SuperBowl.

Carolina Panthers. I had PSLs and season tickets for ten years but sold them when my business turned down. Cam Newton really has the team fired up and the defense will be much better than last year, not great, but better. Pass rush will probably still be weak.

Not sure they make the playoffs this year but should be .500 at least. They play in a tough division, playing NO, ATL and TB twice a year each. It's hard to be better than .500 against that bunch.

Don't follow the pros that much, but I am a big college football fan.Played for USC over 50 years ago, so I don't have to tell you who my favorite is. FIGHT ON!

I'm more of a college fan, but I live about 10 minutes from the greatest tailgating spot in the world, Arrowhead stadium, so I root for the chiefs.

Manning broke his neck, Broncos are going to tank this year, I'm taking the under on season wins bet.

I was raised to love America's Team and I can't shake it.

Right on Colorado Cowboy, Go Triojans.....As for the pros, now that Georgia Fronteria has kicked the bucket I can be a Rams fan again. I swore I would never root from them again when they left SoCal, especially after Georgia comments just after they won the Super Bowl. So now I feel it on my heart to return. Oh yeah, the Rams hiring my favorite coach over the offseason doesn't hurt either. Btw, you can't always claim your favorite team only when they are winning, you gotta take the bad with the good.

Agreed.

The Panthers have alternated good and bad seasons for years so you can't be a fickle fan and root for the Cats.

CO Cowboy, after years living out west and now living in NC I still can't get used to people meaning the U of SC Gamecocks when they say USC. Just didn't seem right. Having lived in CO for several years and still coming back to CO to hunt, I still root for the Broncs.

Black and Gold - Steelers. Gonna be a whale of a match-up - Broncos and Steelers to open the season! Hope Harrison doesn't get a hold of ya'lls new quarterback...

I'm a little affraid to admit this with all the Broncos fans on here but my team has and always will be the Raiders. Now that Al Davis is gone we might even pick a defense that works during fourth quarter.

Harrison never even got to Tebow last year in the playoffs, denver's offensive line is way better than most people think. Even if Harrison gets to Manning, Manning will get up (hopefully) and Harrison will have to get his checkbook out lol

Eli.. Ehh, He may be a ring up on his older brother but he'll never be Peyton.. I despise the pat's, almost as much as i despise the cowboys, but I have to give Brady credit for winnin all the rings with a sub par receiving/running game..

However, the reason he wants a new helmet would be to preserve his haircut for commercial's or to wire directly to his hot a$$ wife for pointers..

In the end, go '9ers.. If only we would have spent some money on a real QB ??!?

kcaves

Ya Eli will never be a Peyton, heck eli lost to Wyoming in college, that screams elite, but then again 3 or 4 years after Peyton left wyoming beat Tennessee.

That would be the Carolina Panthers, me being a NC resident.

We've got some good young players. Unfortunately, our old GM, Marty Hurney, completely blew up what was a huge amount of room under the salary cap by massively overpaying several players with new contracts in the few months before he left and put us in salary cap Hell. Now, new GM Dave Gettelman will have to get us out from under and that may take a couple or more years. I've got faith in him, though.

And, since I used to live in Denver, I still root for the Broncos. I'm glad to see them doing well, under our old coach, no less.

They did OK last year, but I'm still pissed at Pete Carrol for what happened at USC when he was Head Coach. He did wonders for the program, but screwed it in the end. SC is my alma mater and I played football there, so you can understand my attitude about what happened.

Raiders. I jumped on the bandwagon in 1980 when I was six. Still have a picture of a Raider sweater I got for Christmas that year.

I really don't have a team, I pull for the local guys that make it to the pros. A receiver I used to throw to in HS plays for the packers and a running back we used to play against plays for the Vikings so I tend to watch those teams more. Past that I keep tabs on the Texas A&M guys that go pro.

Dryflyguy, it was the 1980 superbowl against the Eagles that I became a Raiders fan at age 5.

My favorite pro team is definitely Atlanta. Just wished they wouldn't choke in the playoffs. I know I'm gonna catch some flak for this one though, my favorite college team is The University of Alabama. Everybody hates success so we're the most hated team in the country. Roll Tide and Go Falcons!
