Backcountry Hunters and Anglers is hosting an evening with Steven Rinella on 9/13 @ 6:30 PM at the Sportsman's Warehouse in Thorton. It is a free event intended to highlight the incredible backcountry hunting opportunities we have here in the west and to introduce Steve's new book "Meat Eater." Door prizes include rifle scopes, hunting knives and much more!

Now that I have stopped laughing I can say that was a very solid response IMO! I think he handled the situation pretty well.

I thought Steven's response to the vegan in his audience was spot on as well. Many times though anti hunting folks just want to make statements or just foolish over the top remarks instead of asking questions to gather some understanding or knowledge. Reacting and responding to them just fuels more foolish over the top responsies from the anti hunter and brings little to no resolution to the conflict. If there were more intelligent and respectful conversations like this one perhaps we might find some common ground.

For people near Missoula, MT, Steven will be at the Roxy on 9/12 at 6:30 pm. I'm going to try to make that.
