Buying outdoor gear is expensive. I won't lie - were I a direct descendant of Thurston Howell III, I wouldn't care. I found a used gear website but have never heard of it before. Does anyone have a website they use to look for used camping/outdoor gear?

Yep, Ebay!
Bought a $750 Rascher wool hunting coat for $55. Fits like a glove, absolutly perfect condition.

I keep an eye on hunting forums with a classified section. eBay receives a few page hits from me also.

Agreed, Ebay, Camofire, I am sure backpacking websites have used gear blogs, etc. I have been "trading" up, sideways, etc on eBay with my old archery gear, tools, stuff I no longer need, and piggy bank my winnings in my paypal account and then pull the trigger on things I need now. That way I am "recycling" my old stuff for new. Thurston Howell III, I am not and it's a way to free up stuff.
HECK I just sold on ebay a 20 year old Flight computer - private Pilot stuff- so there's a few extra bucks and not collecting dust.
Times are tough...but the tough get going!....lol
