Has anyone hunted pronghorns in this unit? What kind of chances does one have at harvesting an animal. Not looking for trophy just meat for the freezer. Should I even bother or just try OTC down on the flats? I live in Heenye so figure if drawn I could hunt a lot more then driving all the way down to the eastern plains. Any info and thoughts are much appreciated. Mahalo!!!

I have never hunted 18, but looking at last years stats, looks like it will be tought to draw. Only 40 tags and over 200 residents applying and no NR tags issued. Don't know how much you know about eastern Colorado, but mostly private. If you are able to get here in early summer and travel around looking, probably can get permission from some of the ranches. Usually a lot harder once the season starts.

My wife & I will be heading to the Big Island next year for a month to celebrate our 50th wedding anniversary. Never been there before and looking forward to it.

Mahalo CC!!! In the new brochure it says it had left over Dow tags. Guess ill have to hope I can get one of those. Forgot to add that this is for archery. Hope you enjoy your time on the big island. I definitely miss home!!! Take your bow if your wife will let you. Hawaii has to be the cheapest place to hunt for a NR. Besides the cost of getting there and a place to stay. Lol!! Aloha!!!

Guess you can get a doe tag for archery, I didn't look at that tag. Unfortunately I'm not an archery guy, just rifle.

We are going to rent a condo for a month and do some fishing and diving.

Yea sorry! I should have put that its for archery in the title. Sound like you'll have a great time on the big island. If the lava is flowing I would highly suggest you guys go check it out.

Aloha!!

That's where I live and I don't apply for antelope here but I have helped some friends get their antelope. I have seen some good bucks but they are on private. There are limited antelope on the public but they are there.

Mahalo Granby Guy!!! I just moved to Heenye last August, so really just want to hunt close to home this year. Maybe next year ill head to Wyoming. I work in kremmling and my coworkers tell me they see them all the time. I'm hopeing that because I'm close to the units ill be able to put in a lot of time and get some meat. When should I start scouting the area? Is it to early?

Would you say it's not worth the time in this unit and surrounding units? Are antelope worth hunting in Colorado? This is all super new to me so I'm very overwhelmed. Mahalo for all the replies!!!
