I like to snag the mississippi below the dam in Alton, IL during the spring. It was flooded almost the entire season this year so didn't do so well. So many of those damn asian carp its really had to snag a spoony. I bet I snag 1 spoony to 15 asian carp. I usually give the carp away, usually there are folks down there to take them.

Those are some really nice spoonbills.

I would love to go fishing for sturgeon. That is a very nice fish. I bet your son was very excited.

We were all excited. If you're ever in central MN in September or April, let me know, we'll go fishing.

Thanks BobT. What part of the Ozarks are you from? I live in the little hamlet of Viburnum, a mining town about 140 miles SW of St. Louis. How about you?
