Another point for me this year, tried to get a little greedy with my 2nd choice unit. But I'm going to Utah anyways.

Seems like getting a buck tag as your second choice is coming to an end. I save points trying to draw a great tag then try to get a second choice buck tag for a unit close to home. I didn't draw a second choice the last couple years so I don't even get to Deer hunt. I used to be able to get a buck tag as a leftover, now I can't even get one as a second choice. After I burn my points I'll be re-thinking my strategy so I can hunt Deer every year!

At least we have the otc option for a good elk hunt. It could be worse, otc hunting is better than no hunting.

Unit 35/36/45 archery, my son has a 35/36 2nd season rifle for his first year big game hunting in CO.

Applied for pts only this year for all 3 here in Co...Elk, Deer & Antelope. Going on a wilderness elk hunt to Wyoming this year. Next year should be great...got enough pts to probably draw a good Antelope tag (12), Elk (2) and Deer (4). Also will have 6 for antelope & deer in Wyoming!
