I got serious all right, that why I have 2 06 Martin Slayers, 63# & 55# and a 04 Martin Cougar lll Elite. All are Nitrous C cams with X rigging, a shoot thru system. The Slayers both have QuikTune Micro 3000 prong rests and HHA OL 5519. The Cougar lll has a QuikTune 1000 prong rest. I shoot that bow fingers, instintive. I hunt with Carbon Express Predator ll, VaneTec HP and 100 grn 3 blade Muzzys. GoldTip Ultra Lites for targets..,. :D

I've owned three Hoyt bows and two PSE bows. The PSE rigs fell apart and were a nightmare to shoot. The Hoyt set ups have been bullet proof. It if tumbles 400 yards down a scree field and shoots dead on, it's for me!

Been shooting PSE forever and love there bows. X-Force bows changed alot of things in the industry. That being said I am shooting a Hoyt CRX 35 this year. Decided I was gonna go shoot a bunch of bows and shoot the very best one. Hoyt might not be the fastest, but they are the best on the market right now in my opinion. Go shoot them all and then decide who is best.

Mathews Switchback, Hoyt Trykon, Martin Jaguar TD Recurve. The Hoyt seems to hit a little harder than the Mathews, but the Switchback is my #1 bow.

Was thinking of going with an Alphaburner. Just wandering what you thought of the short brace height, as far as accuracy and forgiveness goes. I am shooting a Vantage Elite for target archery and really enjoy the spiral x cams.

Lol.

I think any new bow made in the last year or so will be comparable. With few exceptions.

Had the Element in 2011 but sold it and shooting the Invasion now. For me its not the bow it's archery in general. Be hard pressed to not find a bow in my hand in my spare time. :)

Precision Shooting Equipment. No other bow can beat me with a PSE! So far everything that has bad mouthed a PSE and then shot next to me ends up losing to one. My buddy shoots bowtech and hasn't got even close! I just hope every bowhunter or bow shooter shoots what is best to him and doesn't buy a bow by a brand!

Very true, it came down to the Vector Turbo and Evo dream season. The Hoyt felt better this go around, but next time I buy another I will put them all through the paces. I do not have any brand loyality I just have feel loyality!!

Used to shoot "Parts Scattered Everywhere".... I mean PSE.

Shot a G5 Prime Shift and a Hoyt Vector Turbo this year. I can't make up my mind they are both REALLY nice shooting bows in different ways.

I've got a first year X-Bow to dump now.... fast bow, accurate bow, harsh and unforgiving to shoot.... IMHO.

its like choosing nike or converse..... most pop,= most expinsive, when the other works just as good at less price. i love pse, however i shot my buddies new hoyt yesterday and holly $!!T was it cool.

Mostly TRUE, IMHO. Especially if "works just as good" only means the lethality of the gear. Ease of shooting, comfort in shooting, "Joy" of shooting... that is where the "pop/price" starts to spread the pack out. No doubt, all the years I shot a PSE that the bows shot well, killed lots of animals and were SCREAMING fast. Then I picked up the G5... oh man what a difference! Had always shot Hoyt's off and on, same thing, huge difference in ease of tuning/shooting/joy of shooting. I think the same would be true of Elite, Athens.... there are a lot of great bows out there and I suppose it is personal preference to a degree, but when you find something you LOVE to shoot, you WILL shoot. The more you DO shoot, the better shot you ARE. The money starts to mean less and less at that point.

I shot an Elite z28 for several years and it was my all-time favorite bow. Switched to an Alphamax 32 4 or 5 months ago and can honestly say it's a great shooter (not quite as smooth as the z28 though I don't know if anything is) and I picked up some speed so those 50-70 yard shots are a little easier to dial in.
