What do you think about Jeremy Hills killing a two year old grizzly accompanied by another sibling and a sow while in his yard with children? The US Attorney is Wendy Olen, she has the authority to drop Hills case. I understand the Idaho Game and Fish and the USFWS recommended Mr. Hill not be prosecuted.
I say it's one less grizzly to have to worry about!
I believe Governor Otter has written a letter of support to the U.S. Attorney as well. I think it will be dropped.
I personally will help by giving to his legal fees to support him. Several major banks here in Idaho have special accounts set up for those that would like to help him by supporting his legal costs over this.
The dude found out he was going to be going to court by reading it in the news four days before he was legally notified by the courts.
When this country gets to a point that a stupid animals life is more important than our childrens safety....its pretty F***** up in my opinion.
The man had every GOD given right to do what he did and should be thanked to no end.
It comes down to the reasonableness test.... I would have done the same if I was in Hill's position and any other reasonable human being would have done the same. That animal can be replaced...... those little kids can not.
Thank God the animal appeared in someone's backyard who OWNS a gun. It could be a whole different story we would be reading if they had not. We have a RIGHT to protect!
I missed the story...what exactly happened?
Long story short...Three grizes came down near a home, wife told hubby they were near the kids, wife gets kids inside as dad shoots several times wounding one of the bears. He checks to make sure family is safe, then reloads and went to take care of the wounded bear and put it down as a safety of anyone it could encounter.
Dad calls IF&G tells them what he did.
IF&G and US Fish and Wildlife reviewed his actions and thought that everything should be fine.......
He was told by a friend watching TV that he was going to go to court over it, four days before the courts notified him he was going to be prosecuted!!
