I own all 3 calibers 223, 22-250, and 243 all remington 700's and I love my 22-250 at most took a bit but with the right load work I have my 22-250 shooting 4300 fps and grouping .39" at 100 yards not bashing the other calibers as I love them as well. I would also look at cost of ammunition if you are going to buy factory bullets 22-250 would prob not be the way to go at 40-55$ a box it puts a hurtin on the wallet.

I don't see how a 22-250 wouldn't kill a wolf. Shot placement is everything. I watched my sister kill a mule deer buck at 380 yards with one shot with a 22-250.

I agree with 7mm especially if you go with a 55g bullet. Shot placement is everything I have killed a few pigs with mine with a 36g varmit grenade by Barnes temple shots but still killed them instantly.
