They may have some muley blood.....but yes, they have pure black tails. So, they aren't mule deer.Quote:

There are some hybrids in the area.....not pure Columbian Blacktail and not pure Rocky Mountain Mule Deer. For record keeping purposes (B&C and P&Y) they are measured as a mule deer. The record book the article is suggesting is almost non-existent.....
