its a secret lol, only one ive ever hunted is unit 7
I would bet that many folks would rank unit 7 as one of the best units in the State. I've never hunted it myself however.
Guided...without a doubt Unit 7 with a gun or a bow.
Unguided....shhhhhh its a secret cause I wanna draw the tag.

We hunt south of Dubois, but not because it is our secret spot. We just always have.
Family has both horses and four wheelers.
It may not be the best, but year after year I'm trying to draw Unit 100. I want to have the unique experience of hunting that Red Desert Herd.
For the last 15 or so years I have tried to draw #100 as well. Bought PPt every year since NR's could get them. But as I got older I realized I probably would never draw it. The other area I had heard about (from friends who had hunted it & in magazine stories) was Thorofare in the Teton Wilderness. Went last year and was a little disappointed as I think the "Glory Days" are a thing of the past because of the wolves. Biggest mistake I made was blowing 6 PPts. Guess I'll start looking again.
Unit 7 is definitely awesome.
