(getting more detailed now)
I purchased a Howa 7mm mag and love it!!
This is for you Ultra mag guys!!
It's a Rem Action trued and lightened, HS Sporter with cheek piece, Krieger #5 contour 1-10 twist 4 groove cut at 27", Timney Trigger, Leupold Mark 4 6.5-20x50mm TMR, weighs 10.5 lbs with 3 shells, shoots 3 shot groups in the .3-.4 range with 200 gr accubonds, I use to shoot deer with it but its a little to much in my opinion.
That's wicked ! You are a bigger nut than me ! That should put an elk in the Hurt Locker. I forgot to say what scope I had. It's a
6x24x50 Burris Black Diamond. I'll edit...The only picture I had handy with rifle in it. LOL ! Took a pic of it and attached it.
I do apologize for killing this thread....
My past rifles were 7mm rm Parker, then 270wsm Abolt and now 270wby Savage. I built this rifle this spring summer and look forward to hunting Mulies and Antelope this fall in WY.The rifle is Savage 110 w/26" #5 Douglas prem, harrow brake,6.5-20 vortex viper pa mildot, 20 moa base,B&C stock, and Dura cote baked.
My Ruger Gunsite in .308 is my lug around gun. For antelope I choose my .243 Rem 700.
For deer....Normally my Rem.700 BDL 30-06,with 165 gr. BTSP Fed. Premiums.....If I'm in high country I choose wife's Rem Mtn. Rifle in .270, with 130 gr Fed Premium........anything larger its the big Boy for me...Rem 700 SS, 300 RUM....180 gr. Fed Premium..can't recall which type of bullet right now....not home to check.
