Best place to buy a new or used pack?
You could try calling Eberlestock and see if they have anymore "smoke damaged" packs. I bought a blue widow last fall for $150 and it wasn't damaged at all. It smelled like smoke, but I washed it and let it hang outside and it was fine.
I've read alot about its meat packing ability, but how does it hold bulkier stuff like tent, bag and pad? Does it become to wide or far off your back? I like the design, but unlike the 4500 or Barbarian Featherlight, the BW expands horizontally instead of vertically. And, are the load lifters high enough? I'd like to go to just one pack, but not sure how the BW will function as a backpacking/camping pack. Thoughts?
I used a BW two years ago and my only complaint was that when fully loaded, the weight was too low and far back for my tastes. This may not be a problem for others. Otherwise it is a very solid, versatile pack.
Im getting a new pack and down between the BW and Blacks Creek Canadian..Ever used the Canadian?
Contact Steve Speck with Sands Archery (http://www.sandsarchery.com/Default.asp) for all things Eberlestock. I am very pleased with my BW.
