All you needed to do was to introduce yourself, and ask a more specific question, and it would have gone better. This is a very knowledgeable, and friendly forum.
So many guys join forums, ask where to hunt, get answers, and then you never see them again. It gets old after awhile.

You can check odds/results of different units in Idaho here. That may help you decide which unit to hunt.
Spud i have been putting in for elk, deer and antelope for fifteen plus years and i have only drawn one cow tag. I wish the idaho fish and game would do a point system. Also i have looking at some of the research projects they did on elk and many units are doing very well for elk numbers. The only ones really hurting are the central idaho and the diamond creek zone. A friend from twin falls told me two bulls got shot out of unit 44 that were pushing 400.
lol this is a comedy house
Where u getting your info, Darrin? Island Park, Salmon, Tex Creek, and the Bitterroot units are all hurting. A decade and a half of wolf predation has hammered the herds in those units.
Tex creek is meeting all management objectives you need to research it yourself. The island park zone is actually meeting most of the objectives and has improved the last few years. Salmon i agree is hurting. If you go to the fish and game website click on science and you can find the elk numbers.
Darrin, I've been wondering the same thing. A friend told me he drew a really good tag in Idaho but I don't remember where. I'll see him Monday so I will find out then. I've been slightly interested in hunting Idaho so if things go well for him, maybe I'll apply there next year.
