Leaving a week from today for a Wyoming elk hunt in the bighorns. Cant wait. this will be my 3rd time elk hunting, 1st two were strike outs. Hopefully make it happen on the third attempt. Any chance those bulls will still be bugling come the 9th??

Good luck! When I was looking around the S end of the Bighorns last week the rut was in full swing, it seems they started later this fall. I think you may still hear some bugles early and late in the day, but the bigger bulls may be hiding already. The satellites will remain active and be running around hoping for cows the herd bull missed.Quote:

How did your unit 120 elk hunt turn out? Im trying to figure out what to do with my elk points and that is one unit Ive been considering.
