Anyone use slick tricks for bulls and bucks ?
Killed my bull last season with a 125 grain Slick trick. Did an awesome job, bull went 15 yards an tipped over.
slick tricks are awesome. for me they fly wonderful and i have shot deer and javelina with it, none went more than 30 yards. wouldnt hesitate to use 100gr. for elk
I used a 100 gr standard slick trick on a bull hunt. Worked great.
If anyone has any slick trick kill photos would love to see them.
I've been using slick tricks since they started making them. 4 elk and 2 deer have dropped from my 100gr ST's. One of the best heads made. One thig I'll add is that you cant just spin em on and shoot. I've had to loosen and adjust the washer a times to get the slightest wobble out of my set-up. With a tuned bow and a tuned head , my FP/BH impact are exact at 60 yrds and less.
Great head! Supper sharp and fly very well. I would shoot them on elk any day of the week.
I won't shoot anything else. I watched a bull I shot die within 40yrds. I watched a big antelope buck crumble within 50yrds of the shot. It shoots incredibley well and is always spot on with field points. I also like the fact there isn't a ton of surface area up front to further steer it in crosswinds.
This is one of my slick trick bucks:
