Took off to Eastern Montana with a friend last weekend. Turned out to be a fun quick trip. We had to use the shotguns, but it was still fun. He took two birds and I took the other. One tag still in my pocket! Montana is just a wonderful place to live.

good lookin birds stringmusic, how much did they weigh and measure? Ive killed lots of easterns back in IN but never shot a meriams, maybe Ill try for one next year. It would be cool to have a meriams tail mount next to my eastern. My biggest gobbler was 27 lbs 1 1/4" spurs and twelve inch beard and a second beard that was about the diameter of a straw and measured 7".
Sweet birds guys, never killed a turkey. Would love to take one with a bow, they make a pretty mount. Congrats!
Nice work man. I love to turkey hunt. Just like hearing a bull bugle in the morning a turkey gobbling makes the hair raise on my neck.
