I like Bugle as well just for Cameron Hanes articles and I get to look at elk country. I used to get Deer and Deer Hunting, but it just got to scientific and almost took the fun out of "hunting". Other than EBJ, EHJ, and Bugle I get Backpacker - its not a hunting mag, but they have good gear reviews and its fun to see what the granola eaters are up too!

I actually think Outdoor life has some good articles once in a while and its dirt cheap, so I keep a subscription going. I ordered western hunter and am totally dissapointed, never comes and isn't that good, Eastman's is the best around in my limited experience. Sports afield has some interesting reads, mostly about African game. Haven't seen a bowhunting magazine yet that is not 90% how to shoot whitetails out of your treestand, which interests me not at all.

agreed. I might think differently if I lived anywhere east of here and used a treestand a lot, but where I live ,other than about 3 trees, If I hung a treestand and then climbed up in it, it would turn into a ground blind anyway.

I honestly believe EHJ & EBJ are the best hunting mags for the Western hunter who may not think Whitetails are God's gift to the hunter. I also read Petersen's Hunting mag which is another top notch publication. I also signed up for Petersen's Bowhunting mag during a promo, which is nowhere near as good as their "Hunting" mag.
