Zen Ray does look like a good value. But I don't see ED3's in a compact size. I think the smallest objective lens is 43 mm and weighs 27 oz.

Glad to hear you like the vortex. I'd buy a razor hd...

M/L buck and bull tags in the same unit I hunted last year. This time I'm taking two buddies who have never hunted big game.

Points for sheep, goat, and antelope.

I will be interested to hear your thoughts on the see all sight. I am trying to decide between that and a peep sight for this fall. I used a three dot fiber optic sight last fall which was just OK.

I hunted part of the Holy Cross Wilderness solo in 2013 muzzleloader season. I saw elk but ended up taking a buck. I will likely be back to 45 this fall. Either the same season or 1st rifle. So...

I doubt many of you on this forum have the same problem. My wife was downright anti-hunting and had a hard time understanding my new found interest. She did not...

My first buck (a dead animal thread)

My first hunt (at age 39) was a solo backpacking muzzleloader trip to the Holy Cross wilderness in unit 45. I was lucky and thankful to get this buck.

Thanks to lots of folks here for sharing...

The deer success rates are extremely low in 371 for second rifle (12 bucks for 181 hunters). I think this is because many of the deer have migrated out by that time. Eagles Nest is pretty high and...
