Thank you :)
Yeah... it's a Montana goat. What an incredible hunt/experience.
its a life changer.... figure out what it takes but do it:)
Love them myself... put in the effort upfront to fine tune your bullet, it will pay off. Too many people just go off manufacturers specs and it defeats the purpose of the cds. Enjoy. Crazy fun to see...
Love it. Congrats.
Dont get me wrong. Im not against that. In fact, I do it too. Heck I'm even paying a fair amount of cash to go on a private land elk hunt.. But all of this is much easier that a public ground hunt....
Great bull great photos. Colorado sure does have so.e pretty country to hunt.
Man... this is a great thread. Is there an elk one going too? Fun to see some success and some great animals at that.
Congrats to all.
Just adding my 2 cents in here... I have the tripod as well. I wanted to double it up as a tripod for my spotter and shooting sticks. Im about 80% satisfied with this decision. As just shooting...
7-3-13 in the Montana forum. Title "Guide vs. Attack".
I did a small review on these (minus the Chinook) last year. I'll see if I can find it.
I think I have shared my option on this once before but I don't see high fence hunting any different than some rich guy going to New Mexico and paying $30,000 on a reservation to kill a 400 plus bull...
Good for you... nice work.
Thanks Kuiu... 4 days packed into the 1850 icon. Great pack, great gear.
I use just the rump. I had one of the big ones in the beginning but as you mentioned it was just too much to carry around the hills, thus the rump.
I love Kuiu, great product. But that's a hell'a don't. Haha,
I give them a green light. I owe 2 animals to them. They are a good company too, support local organizations.
My vote yes.
Good for all of you.. nice work.
Beautiful country.. enjoy and take it in.
You're a stud.
Took a bull over this last year.
IMO... Go down to REI and get a full size packable poncho. Not the plastic one that first comes to mind. They have high quality ones for like $40. Mine is 15 ozs.and I can quickly slip it on back...
I would agree with the accubonds for factory loads... not so sure on the 180 though... pretty big for those critters. Maybe a consideration of a step or 2 down in grains... but the bullet rocks.
It could be a fair statement... but keep in mind we have A LOT of deer. Numbers are still way down but still fun. Someone said it best with Montana is an opportunity state. And they nailed it....
Thanks again everyone. .. I'll do my best to send updates.
I appreciate all the kind words:)
