My muzzleloader will be here Monday. A KonusPro scope on a CVA Accura MR. I have a Savage 16FHSS 243WIN coming next month. Will be putting a Vortex Viper 3-9x40 scope on it with Talley mounts.
Way to paint with a broad brush. Do you think all hunters should be equally castigated when a statistical few act like idiots as well?
I was looking at backstops just this past week and found this:

I need something in my backyard to go behind my RhinoBlock in the event I miss the box. $10 arrows...
The latest issue of EBJ has a multiple page MRS on Arizona that answers those questions. ;)

The problem with politicians is that they can only do two things: run their mouths and pass legistlation. Unfortunately, neither one is a fix for most situiations.
Some info I found but it's elk-specific: http://elk101.com/featured-articles/features/2013-state-by-state-elk-hunting-application-guide/arizona-elk-hunting-application-summary/
That's nice to hear. :)
Cabela's was almost a waste of time. Maybe due to the end of the season sale, or just it being in Phoenix, but the selection was pretty slim. The Cabela's/Meindl Alaska...

If that's true, that's disheartening. I've been eyeballing the Accura MR for a while now.
I was looking at the Alaska model earlier. Almost choked at $344 price tag. They also sell Danners which I like and they're running a special on those with their Synergy insoles.
Plus I can try...
Thanks. I'm going up to Cabela's in the morning to see what they've got.
That and the reelection of a Democratic president. Soon as the election was decided, the industry became swamped with buyers.

For those that do not use boots that can be recrafted, how long do the soles last on your glued/welded footwear? I'm really not keen on dropping $300 for boots that last for one season.
Since I don't reload and have to buy manufactured ammo, I went with .243. Much more abundant and easier to find most everywhere.
FYI - those of you with leftover Christmas money can scoop up some Sitka gear at Midway USA. Items like the Ascent pants that are normally $149 are about $30 off.

I'm saving to get one in 7mm Rem Mag.
Although I'm new here, I've been on the internet and in forums for over 12 years. This is Eastman's dot com which means this is a business and is here for them to make money. Many forums are a...
Due to the design of internal combustion engines, the high-pressure created in the combustion chamber slams a piston against the crankshaft. Not sure what they could do to make them much quieter.

Buying outdoor gear is expensive. I won't lie - were I a direct descendant of Thurston Howell III, I wouldn't care. I found a used gear website but have never heard of it before. Does anyone have...
The hunter ed course in Arizona qualifies you for a permanent bonus point, so I might as well take it. Luckily I'm in no hurry. I have to wait until next year as all the classes are filled up with...
Pardon my intrusion, but I'm gonna glom on to your thread here. At 37, I'm in a similar situation. Even though I spent time in the Marines, that didn't included alone time in bushcraft or hunting...
