Decent buck for the minam. Last year when we packed in there was one lone bull hanging around the trailhead. Backpackers had a stand off with him apparently.
Blew the dust off a bear monday in the mt emily unit but could find him. Saw a great big cinamon colored boar he was a little to far for a shot though. Could walk 15ft without seeing a pile of bear...

It is a great place to go for a hike, more sheep and goats in that country than deer.
Wolf number 3 is going to hit the ground this week, I guess they killed another calf this past weekend. Bio on the radio said they are done with the non lethal tactics.
Going up this weekend should be good the weather has finally warmed up and the green up is creeping to higher elevations.
Lots of spring bear tags this year that friends and myself have drawn should be a good year.
