I tried out the Badlands 4500 and the J107 also the Cabelas Alaskan Guide Frame pack. The badlands fit the best and was the most comfortable. It also seemed designed better for hauling quarters but...

There were not good numbers at all in 117 but we hunted the north half. This unit used to be much better and the population is way down now according to locals. From my understanding 116 season...

I am hunting a new unit for elk this year. I have hunted near 59 for elk but not in the unit. Wondering if others have had success and how bad the bears are. I scouted it this summer and did see elk....

i bought the new J107 from Cabelas and loaded it up with 60 pounds and have been hiking stairs with it and found that it does not distribute wieght to the hips more the shoulders i dont' think this...
