Congrats on a great hunt
Good luck and make sure you tell us about it. Got a week before I head out for 3rd season.
I heard from a good source that it came off of a Hill ranch. They had another killed during archery that was similar size. It was in velvet and I didnt catch the score.
Nice Bull, congrats. I too have yet to connect but it will happen
Thanks for the input guys. I guess it just depends on the area.
Mike Eastman wrote in his book that he had a white truck that spooked more antelope than a non white truck. Anyone else notice this?
Ive got a large cooler and I am going to bring some blocks of ice and cut it up. That will last a few days but I was worried about after that - 5 days or so.
I am going on my first Antelope rifle hunt next week near springfield. Does anybody know a processor or somewhere we could hang meat? Weather looks warm and we live a couple hours away.
2 years ago in Rocky Mountain Nat Park a big 6x6 was bugling in the campground i was in during labor day weekend. Very cool. In the Sangres here in CO we always heard them bugling opening weekend....
BleuBijou - I checked the stats today and it was a solid 2 point draw,465 applicants for 165 tags (or something like that). I agree that it is coming around and I am looking forward to a good hunt....
Unsuccessful! 2nd season 55 took only 1 point last year and we had 2 this year.wtf!
CO took my deer points so 55 2nd season we come.
Some humor! 357 gross and 338 net. Xc guesses guys
Check out the bull I posted in the Elk forum. That was 69. I have not hunted elk here but have been over all the country. There can be alot of elk on private and most of the country is dry pinon...
Im borrowing the subject from the Mule Deer thread. This bull was killed by bow this year near home. No, it is not me but a good friend.
He is lying! No deer or elk there!
Absolutely no drones. We are getting carried away with the tech. Arent planes illegal to spot game in some states?
Grad with an Ind Engineering degree, a long time ago, and couldnt find a job. Now I am 6 months from retirement with the Federal Prison system. Then it is on, a whole lot of fishing and hunting.
Thanks, I going to try and get a big one now
I dont know, Ive lived in SW VA and spent some time in TN & NC. I havent seen anything like the sangre de christo mountains here in CO. Here is a photo of one of my hunting areas.
I have seen awesome deer in 86. Some low coming off the private ranches and some at treeline. Im hunting Gunnison this year but am thinking of 86 next year and a spike camp up high during...
My story is not as good but still exciting for me. I was hunting thick oak brush and found a spot to sit 50 yards of an intersection of a few bear trails. I was enjoying the warm afternoon when...
If you are a resident 82 and 86 can be drawn with 0 points. Sangre's should be high enough for you.
The entire state is over 100% snow pack this year. Some as high as 133%. I should draw 55 second season but by the looks of the B&C numbers maybee I should have waited?
Future: Archery bull and not fall out of a treestand, again.
