The guy in the orange hat killed that buck on the same ridge I was hunting this past season...there was another big buck there plus the 22" 4x3 that I ended up shooting. They're out there!

Put in for archery deer, rifle elk, also no expectations...
I think I'm gonna try it this year if I can..just gotta decide between Trinities and Marbles. Decisions decisions!
Anybody care to share any info? Not looking for places to hunt...just general info like is it worthwhile? Which do you consider as a better adventure? Difficulty of access? If you buy a B tag can you...
Not to cherry pick..do you guys think more highly of certain units over others? All I have to go by is AZ Fish and Game website and forum reads..I'd be interested in areas you could glass or maybe...
Thanks Bohntr. I'm thinking those January hunts would be a good way to break up my winters. I haven't settled on a specific area yet. It'll be tough the first year or two as I've never hunted AZ, so...
Couple pics of my 22" 4x3..weeded through a lot of little bucks to get this guy. Wednesday morning of second week, told my dad the first legal buck I see today gets it. He's not a monster by any...
I was considering a late bow hunt OTC...I can't decide between December or January hunts. Any advantage to one month over the other? Do those deer down there rut in both months? Are these spot and...
Haven't seen mine yet
That's kind of what I was thinking..although I've heard there are sometimes decent archery tags even after the second draw (OTC) left over.
Is the second draw for tags that aren't gone in the first? If so, do they put everyone's name back in the hat that is unsuccessful for the first draw?
I'm an Electrician in hydroelectric plants. Really good job that pays similar to line worker, but you don't have to be out in the elements. Like someone already said, it can be tough and long hours,...
I think they are called "non-permit" tags or something like that..AZ doesn't call them OTC
I already got it..bad!!
That would be Yotes..:)
Thanks that's what I figured..didn't draw elk, so may as well use the license!
Thought about going down there for deer and maybe try to call some totes too.
Have been released on CA Fish and Wildlife web page...
Are these tags good for ALL OTC units or just one particular zone?
Can anyone tell me, does the draw take a while, or do they pretty much get it all done in a day or two? Some of my other hunt draws depend on whether or not I drew AZ..they haven't charged my card,...
Good point!
Where are the better archery elk/deer hunts that may be left over?
I too have a Nomad..I took the Viper and Nomad outside at Cabelas in Reno and tried them out side by side. I could tell the difference, but to me the difference wasn't enough to justify 4x the price!...
Nevada charges full tag fee up front correct? Unless you go point only?
So are the wolves mostly in the northern parts of Idaho or are they scattered all over the state?
Apparently they haven't started or we would be hearing about it!
