Your .257Bee will work just fine. I like the 110 gr. Nosler Accubond bullet loaded with H1000 powder and a Fed 215Mag primer.

When hunting the SE around the 10-15th of Oct., I have found a loose horn on some bucks, most not though.
I have been considering the W.W. in .270wsm as a western rifle. IIRC, they have a bedding-block and a fair trigger.
I'm out the door to the gun-shop now!
29-31" they are well past the ears.
I have used "straight" for many years during hunting season, but I have an angled spotter for prone target matches.
