Thank you, Kuiu.
I have a pair of 8x Leica Ultravid HDs that are great in the thick and in the open. I prefer the wider field of view. Upgraded from Nikon Monarch 5 10x. 8x was the right call for me.
Thank you all for the comments. I am looking at the Pro Hunter so that I can swap barrels. I am thinking about getting the ML barrel and a 7mm or 300 barrel.
The versatility seems hard to beat.
I am thinking about adding a T/C Encore to my "Armory."
Is anyone using one of these for Western mullies or elk?
What is your setup? (Barrel length/optics/caliber)
What is your experience...
I recently upgraded to these Leica 8x42s. What an incredible piece of equipment!? Best upgrade in gear I have ever made. http://img.tapatalk.com/d/14/08/03/hejenuze.jpg

Here is mine:
Caliber: 270 WSM if you hand load and/or don't mind the ammo costs; 270 win or 7mm-08 if you are recoil sensitive;...
Thank you, First Lite.
Yeah, I saw it. I was close to pulling the trigger on the Icon 7200 to replace my Cabela's pack. Glad I waited for the Icon Pro 7200. I was pleasantly surprised at the price.
Icon Pro 7200 & Pro...
Thanks, First Lite.

sir, you point is very valid and I would tend to agree . . . but . . . I have a tightspot which is IMHO the best on the market.
sometimes you get what you pay for. hard to put a price on...
I had the same experience with the reticle in the vortex. lots of trouble in bright light. Also had trouble at ranges beyond 400. was great for morning and evening archery, but was not the right...
