Thanks 1 Shot. I would use this gear on my next 5 day bivy elk hunt.
There has been a lot of these threads around lately. I suppose I'll offer my perspective.
1. The ethical harvesting of an animal WILL be determined by the owners of that animal. Because the...
I wish I had this setup for my pack in muzzleloader elk hunt this weekend. Looking at the forecast a new bag would be great.
I have a model 70 in 7WSM as my go to hunting rifle. I wouldn't trade it for anything. I believe Browning is the only company that still offers it in a factory rifle.
I put a lot of thought into what to get for my wife and finally setteled on just re stocking one of my 30'06s. Loaded with a 130 gr sp. it makes a good practice gun, with 150 btsp its good for deer...

The 10% cap is on limited entry tags there are plenty of over the counter tags to buy. In a hunt with 10 tags a year I have no problem with the up to 10% formula.

I love a story with a happy ending. Even more when archery season is over and I am waiting for the general to open in a couple days.
There are a lot of great ones around but my favorite would depend on my mood and what I'm eating I suppose. The red from McCall is good most of the stuff out of Victor is good I stopped by and had a...
I have a 30'06 from 1949 that holds a special place in my safe.
The back door is open and it looks like I got skunked again except for the unlimited tag.
340 FMJ with a G5 striker.
I've always thought of the recoil as more of a push then a kick. My little model 94 30-30 kicked harder and was harder on my arm.
Most brushes marked .45 are made for .44/.45 they cover the 44 mag and .45 colt rifles the 45/70 is a .458 cal and the brushes are a bit loose. I had the problem in both my Marlin and my Handy Rifle....
Get a 475/480 brush from Brownells won't fold over as bad as a 50 and fits just right.
Actually you could win several if you were lucky!
The Wood River Chapter of the Rocky Mountain Elk Foundation is holding its 25th banquet Saturday April 13th at the Weaver Family Arena south of...
I am leaving for the show early Saturday and staying the night.
I've had one for a couple of years. It is heavy and I have plans to modify the load lifters so they will actually function but for the price its hard to beat.
