That's a gorgeous Blacktail.....congratulations!
Mine went to zero as well. Another high-country archery mule deer hunt. Hopefully, I'll be able to make it (depending on if a draw for NV& UT archery deer and CA Tule elk). Either way, I'll be...
depends on the unit and which trail head.
Montana Black Gold Ascent.
I began my law enforcement career over 25 years ago as a game warden in the Golden State. When I discovered I couldn't take time off during the archery season to hunt for myself, I left the agency...
Trinities......we've arrowed some giants in there over the years.
Depends on what area you're hunting in.....most of your mule deer will be in the low elevation on the desert floors in the mesquite flats. Coues deer prefer the higher elevations.
Concentrate on the areas on the east side of the reservoir and near the CO line. These are walk in areas, but always hold some good deer.
Alpine Taxidermy in Sulpher Springs, CO. The owner is Barry Smith, who is one of the best taxidermist there is, IMO. He's usually the taxidermist of choice for many of the "well known" hunters in...
Are those legislators and politicians in Colorado originally from Kail??? I think not. Don't blame other states for your own problems boys......it's a nationwide mentality now.
They are a quality shaft that are tough as nails. No issues with them.
Forbes recently ranked the top 10 states to retire in based on cost of living and tax relief. The top three were Alaska, Nevada, and Wyoming. All three are retirement friendly and offer exceptional...
Four more years and I'll be retired in Buffalo, WY for good.........and I'll put a new meaning to the therm, "Gone Hunting".
No difference....providing they're all the same. :) Only major difference is when using feathers (not vanes). If using left wing feathers, you need to use a left helical jig.
Good looking desert buck. Congratulations!
I have to agree with Colorado Cowboy.....
I liked it better when they were all rated using the AMO system. (60 lb draw, 30" draw, 540 grain arrow- 9 grains per inch) I beleive it gave a much better idea of actual speed for hunters.
Thanks guys...
That's 16 with a bow now.
I'm in Arizona bowhunting deer and spotted this bobcat yesterday morning. After a long stalk, I was able to sneak in on him........one arrow later he was mine. These low desert cats are really...
Lake Sonoma has pig hunting......I believe it's $30.00 for the pass to hunt there on weekends. Might want to check into it.
Good looking bear, packer58! Congratulations. It's too bad bear hunting with hounds is a thing of the past come the first of the year here in the Golden State. A few more years to retirement and...
I have both and I'd have to agree with BB......Kuiu is what I wear more often than my Sitka stuff. Good quality stuff.
Last weekend I drove a few miles from my desert home and did some predator calling......archery style. On my second stand location, this dog came in to 12 yards! One arrow dropped him where he...
I've officially measured a few that net high enough for the ALL-TIME B&C records program.......so not too sure about the genetics there. :)
Some of the best whitetails I've measured have come from the Cowboy State.......a sleeper state for whitetails.
