are you looking at these unit for elk or for deer?
First and foremost have a plan on how to get an elk out. That country is VERY rugged. Some of the deepest canyons in the country are in that unit. So be very prepared.
did you draw for rifle or bow?
you can shoot a tight spot just fine. i have one on mine and have set up several with them. its the Boss Hogg you cant shoot a Tight Spot with.
The sight that David Long was using is a G5. It has 3 fixed pins and the fourth is adjustable but doesnt float like a pendulum. My personal choice for a sight is a Spot Hogg Tommy Hogg. I use a 5...
I wore Under Armour Speedfreaks all last season and wouldn't trade them for anything. Super light, comfortable, and they kept my feet dry. A great boot in my opinion. Put a lot of miles on those...
Always a right helical on my arrows. Most jigs will come with a 12 degree helical clamp. On a short vane like a 2" blazer it might not be as noticeable, but there is helical on the vanes. Like was...
There are a some good bows in that price range. PSE Revenge, PSE Vendetta, Mission Venture, Hoyt Rampage XT, and Hoyt Rampage. Id recommend any of these bows. All are of high quality and easy to tune...
yes the specialty light is a chunk of change but its pretty dang pimp. 7 colors, variable brightness, auto off, etc etc. But a light like that is more for a dedicated indoor spot bow, not one you're...
CBE does offer a light for their sights and it may work on the vented single pin scope housing if thats the one you have.
Check out the new Spot Hogg Whipper Snapper. This is an awesome release. If I were to use one for hunting Id look at an open hing style for easier hook up.

this is the best light on the market. cost is expensive which is the only downside. now their description...

This year Ill be using a slider sight but it has a 5 pin head on it. Its a Spot Hogg Tommy Hogg. I dont think I could use a single pin unless I was strictly tree stand hunting.
There are several factors that attribute to noise in a bow. Adding silencers will help in most cases. They will not slow your bow down.
I sure do miss my Dren LD. I wish they would come out with another bow with those specs but a tad quicker.
Yes they can still bend even with the carbon core.
the Z9 is a good shooting bow but i think there are better options out there for a long draw archery. for shooters with a 30+ in draw the string angle is pretty steep and can cause some anchor...
All we do at our shop is Winners Choice. Hands down the best in the industry.
Not only do you have wolves coming on the scene here in Oregon but we already have an over population of cougars and bears. Its amazing that a deer or elk can survive in this state with the predator...
Gravitational effects are the same, however the thinner air at higher altitude allows for less resistance which could affect trajectory. It will be different for everyones set up however.
It can but it will be different for everyone. I live at about 500ft and hunted at 12k ft in Colorado. I shot at the trailhead before we packed in and I didnt need to make any adjustments at all and I...
I wouldn't waste points on it unless you are elk hunting. More elk down there now than deer.
It could carry a rifle as well if strapped to the pack correctly. It doesn't have a "boot" like other packs to slip the buttstock into but the straps are small enough to be able to hold the stock...
Hornhunter offers the G2 pack. Its a smaller sized pack that will fit women and youth very well. Ive used it in the past as a day pack and its comfortable. Plenty of pockets to store your gear too. ...
