I carry three knives that have very high quality steel (Kershaw Sandvick 14C28). I can field dress and debone an elk without resharpening. But I am seriously considering the Havalon knives. I just love my Kershaws so much i would feel lonely without em.

I have the model m and love it. These guys make quality stuff. I personally think they make the best sharpening stone for the field. I use a lansky at home. I must admit though I believe the havolon is the way of the future. Lighter weight and razor sharp! Can't beat that. I want me one with about 100 blades.

Yes! I wish all my field knives were bright orange!
