Kaycee Area Deer Expectations - Region Y/Unit 33

I'm heading to the Kaycee area for a Deer/Antelope combo hunt on private land in late October. Anyone familar with this unit, and what type of expectations one should have for deer? I took a 140 class muley in Colorado last year DIY, I would be real happy with a repeat or close to it.

Sounds like the antelope are really strong around Kaycee.

I hunted that area in 2008. 140 or 150 is a good expectation in my opinion. Are you hunting in the mountains or down lower?

The antelope are strong in numbers around Kaycee, but I'm not so sure about the trophy quality.

There are a few good antelope down around Kaycee, you are probably going to see a lot around 65-75".. There are tons of great mule deer there also. I dont think you will have much problem getting one at least 140".. Hope you get some good ones! It's a very good area!!

Thanks so much for the information, I'm getting pretty fired up about the hunt next week (my hunt starts on Monday, October 24th). It gives me a good idea of what to look for, and I've never taken a buck antelope. Should be a good hunt, and I am going to be hunting in the lower land. However, the place I am hunting has land from 5,000 to 9,000 feet, it is literally right on the edge of the Bighorns.
