What's the deal?
We are moving back to my ancesteral home of Wyoming. My understanding is the Wyo G&F is pro Crossbow.
Might be good to have a 2nd season capability in my back pocket.
I shot competitve archery until I joined the military then walked away from Archery 100%. Don't like how easy it is to screw it up, and wound something. Never lost an animal from Archery, but then again I have not taken many.
Someone sent me a DVD about Tenpoint Crossbows and they have some very quick one shot kills and some very accurate shooting bows.

Ten points are awesome crossbow, a little pricey but worth it, as far as crossbows goes in Wyoming I know your allowed to use them during the early season. Good luck to you.

I would like to use a cross bow as well. Here in Nv you can only use one in the General "any leagel weapon" hunt so I prefer to take my gun.

definitely legal during the archery season. my buddy hunts with one while myself and our other hunting partner use compounds. he has taken several nice bulls with his. he shoots parker...nice bow but they are loud, at least his is. not sure i would shoot out past 40 yrds with one, due to the noise and animals being able to jump the string. but maybe they would be ok out past 40, but i do know his is WAY louder than my compound.

Try the horton team real tree ultralite, pretty good bow for the price.

I was interested in purchasing one until I lugged one around for one season up here in Wyoming. Found it to be extremely bulky and heavy. Went back to the bowtech.

I've been doing a lot of research. I'm leaning towards the Excalibur Axion. It's in my price range, and I like the simplicity and light weight of it.
I really like the month long hunting season too.Pete
