satellite phone article?

Hi everyone. New to the forum but have been DIY hunting in Montana since I was of age. Anyway, I have a question I was hoping somebody could help me with.

Awhile back there was a posting a posting on one of the eastmans blogs (not sure which one) that reviewed satellite phones and recommended places to rent them from. I have looked everywhere for it but cannot find it anywhere. It may also have been in one of the issued magazines.

Does anybody remember and know where to find this article? Any help would be greatly appreciated!

I looked at renting one and I ended up buying one from satphonestore.com. I have a 9505 and have had no problems. I bought their 1 year plan with 222 minutes. I use it more than I ever thought I would because I do not have a cell phone and there is no service.

Thanks rescuekru. If you dont mind me asking how much did you pay for the phone? Also, how much does the plan cost?

I bought a refurbed phone for $650 and the 222 minutes were on special for $275 but I just checked today and it is now $400 for the 222 minutes. So now I just buy the minutes every year. I usually end up having plenty of minutes at the end of the year.

I would highly recommend NOT using satphonestore.com for sat phone rentals. Hunted in Alaska. They sent me a phone with 3 batteries none of which would hold a charge. Ended using a different phone and they would not refund my rental.
