Just curious to see what people think about the different grain size in broadheads. I see u can buy 75 up to 125 grain. I know a majority shoot 100 and 125 grain broadheads. But what do people think of the 75 grain size?

The only thing I don't like about the 75gn. is that its more difficult to keep the FOC (Front Of Center) that I like. I do however like that the physical size is typically smaller, which in my opinion helps with wind drift at longer ranges. I'm using a 100gn. T-3 this season and it seams to be pretty good so far. This is just my opinion however so take it for face value.
I usually shoot a 100 grain broadhead, but this year I wanted to mess around with some new arrows and get my total arrow weight up. With the arrow I chose and the finished weight I wanted, I had to go to a 85 grain broadhead to keep my front of center and spine at it's optimum. I shoot a magnus stinger and the size really isn't that different.

When my son was 12 he was shooting a light setup and used 75 grain cut on contact Steel Force heads and was able to kill his first bull elk with one perfect shot at 7 yards. They performed great!
But, as has been mentioned it might be hard to keep the recommended amount of FOC given heavier arrows most adults shoot. I shoot 69 pounds and do well with 100 grain heads for what it's worth.
