I got a smokin' deal on a pair of Viper HD's from Paul at Elk Nut Outdoors. They're awesome binocs and the warranty is unbeatable. I highly recommend Paul and the Vipers!

Talons are a step up from the vipers. Not sure on specs but price and quality I know the talons are a smidge better quality.

No they are not. The Viper HD is a traditional piano-hinge design made in Japan. The Talon HD is an open-bridge design made in China. The Viper is more compact.

Optical performance is similar, with the talons offering a slightly wider FOV. The Vipers have the edge on build quality. Both are good values.

Have the Viper 10x42 They have served me well. When my buddy looks through them he is impressed. I have issues with their eye cups. They tend to twist or cross thread all the time and the rubber is starting to come off. Glass quality is good. I would buy again if I needed too. Good value.

I have the Zen Ray ED 3 in hand, so far so good. I also got infrared diffusers for my night vision, no visible light shining for anyone to see. So cool. I just looked out the back door and saw three yotes in one pasture and 8 whitetail 200 yds away in another pasture.
