I have 10 year old Nikon birdwatching binocs and spotting scope. However, they are pretty heavy for week long back country hunting. I've been looking at the 10X42 Vipers. Would you take them (and not a spotting scope) on a high country mule deer hunt?Originally Posted by Coyoteman

I always take a spotting scope.
the Vipers are fine binoculars, however.
