It is artificial. I have to say, though, that it really turned out realistic looking. I have seen some that looked plain horrible.

Matt, just getting home and open up the new December/January 2012 Eastmans' Hunting Journal. Page 26-28 looks like a similar story to this thread. Very cool Matt. That was a nice write up and story. Congratulations!

    Kevin,

Don't ruin it for me! I haven't received my issue yet, and I can't wait to see how the story ends

From what I read in the article and have seen posted so far on some other posts this year, it does not look to me like the end of the story Matt. It's more like a chapter to what looks and sounds like an awesome book. Congratulations again Matt. God bless you!

My brother and I made our first high country pack in hunt this year. After our own experience and seeing stories like this, I know why we are are all hooked. You coudn't make up some of the crazy things we go through that make these hunts so cool.

    congrats!!

Hey BB, your taxi did a great job on your mount. The velvet looks really natural.......I to have seen some REALLY bad velvet restorations that pretty much ruin the mount. I picked up my Nevada bull yesterday from my taxi but won't hijack your thread with the picks. I'll just say it's like a awesome early christmas present.
