Nice looking buck, the taxidermy is wonderful. Though to tell you the truth, I have never been a fan of velvet taxi-ed bucks.

read the article as well BB, enjoyed it a lot, well done and the mount looks way cool.
Thats why i asked...it looks really good for being artificial, although from seeing him after the tumble, i couldn't see how they could have repaired the original that nice. Great looking buck!
Great story. Great buck. BB any chance we see your Alaska moose adventure in an upcoming Eastmans magazine?
Nice Buck For A Lot Of Hard Work.
Nice buck and that mount looks great.
Awesome deer and an awesome photo! Congratulations.
Bitterroot, My brother and I are trying to plan a muley hunt to Montana and it is a little confusing on the G & F website. I was wondering if you had any ideas of what district would be a good one to go and get after a muley? I was thinking 314, 301 or that area, or else I was looking around 332 and even the areas around 413.
Thanks,
Tony
Tony,
Those are all General Mule Deer areas, so no special permit required, get your NR tag, and you're hunting deer. The 3XX districts are primarily elk units. Those are not high deer density units, but you might find a good one in there! You will see plenty of elk hunters ... plenty.
From 413 east you are going to get into some good deer populations, but more deer hunters. Those 4xx breaks units see a lot of vehicle based hunting, but you would be surprised what you can find if you go for a walk... the country is bigger than it looks on GE for sure.
