Anyone seeing rut activity for blacktails?

Slightly excited that on Nov. 12th I'll be sitting in my newly constructed tree stand waiting for blacktail bucks to come cruising by. Snow has started falling in the mountains which will help the deer migrate into lower elevations and make things a little more exciting.

Attached is a local buck that I hope is still around. I'm curious to see how big he is after being in the velvet.

My buddy killed a heavy old mature buck off my property tonight. He was wandering around in broad daylight which only means one thing...

I was pig hunting yesterday with my bow and found a young 3x4 chasing a doe. Head down and neck stretched out. Saw a nice 3x3 Sunday evening.
Rut is on here in the coast range of Cali.

Despite being out all last weekend hunting for my antlerless/spike tag (which I filled), saw no rutting activity, which amazed me.
